About Us
Dutro Mobile Homes Inc was founded in 1950 by Ralph Dutro in Zanesville Ohio after being in the Travel Trailer business for 4 years.
In 1974 the business was moved to its current and only location at 4350 East Pike under the direction of Terry Dutro and Carole Pickworth, Ralph's Children. Since 1974 the business has continued to grow and expand the customer base. Carole retired in 1992 leaving Terry and his wife Sue to continue the family tradition of providing manufactured housing at an affordable price and still offer the best service after the sale. Terry and Sue's son Joe Dutro now does most of the site evaluations and deliveries and set ups working alongside with his son Ty Dutro, nephew Clayton Gillespie and 20+ year employee Josh Wheeler. Most of the office duties have become the responsibility of Joe's daughter Abby Mayle and longtime (since 1988) salesperson Dave Grubb. To this day you will still see Terry and Sue around helping out where needed and watching the next generations of Dutro's continuing the family business.
As a family-owned business for over 75 years we are thrilled to see repeat customers, children and grandchildren of past customers and old customers friends coming to us to purchase their next home. Yes, we are the true Mom and Pop operation, and we take extreme pride in our family heritage.
